Since, the position is of assistant, the AEO has to report to the Enforcement Officer or other higher authority. Further, the AEO has to report to the Director of the Directorate of Enforcement, Ministry of Finance, Government of India and other authorities.

The posting of the AEO depends on the requirement as per the city or state. There are ten zonal offices in cities like Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Chandigarh, and others. Each of thes zonal offices are headed by the Deputy Director and sub-zonal offices.

SSC CHSL Other Important Things

• Transfer: Most of the zonal offices are located in cities, but not in rural areas. So you don’t have to stay in rural areas. Your transfer duration will be three years.
• Work Times: There will be normal working hours. However, in many cases like raids, there will be extra working hours. You may even raid early morning, which can go till late night.
